More About Richard & Deborah
In 1990, Richard and Deborah began entertaining on the Alberta Prairie Tourist Train that runs out of Stettler, Alberta and with over 4000 performances on the train to their credit, they continue to be featured entertainment on that Award Winning tourist attraction.
Richard and Deborah have recorded 5 albums and in 1990/91 produced 2 television seasons (24 episodes) in conjunction with Shaw TV. The first season was entitled "Metronome" and featured Richard and Deborah with a special guest each episode. The second season was called "An Evening with Richard and Deborah" and featured them performing with their 16-piece Big Band, "The Alberta Swing Orchestra". That season included a live audience dancing to classic big band hits.
In 2004, Richard and Deborah created and produced the "Ultimate Staff Party" which was held in many locations in Alberta and sold over 30,000 tickets over a period of 10 years.
In 2006, Richard and Deborah developed their 6 acre home at Red Deer into an entertainment venue which they named "Popovich Patio Dinner Theatre". People came from all over Alberta to view the manicured grounds and enjoy a delicious, piping hot full course meal followed by one of the many shows that Richard and Deborah performed. They enjoyed "sold out" crowds for over 90% of the shows during their 9 year run.
One of their many "show highlights" is Richard's ability to remember and use the names of 30 - 40+ people present in the audience during the show, creating a truly personalized and memorable event.
On an ongoing basis, Richard and Deborah travel throughout Western Canada performing unique, high energy, audience interactive shows with music and clean comedy for all occasions. They also enjoy and spend a portion of each year dedicating their time to entertaining "shut-in" Seniors at lodges, hospitals and long term care facilities.
Serving across Alberta and to name just a few places; Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Sherwood Park, Leduc, Camrose, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Drayton Valley, Rocky Mountain House, Airdrie, Cochrane, Drumheller, Hanna, Strathmore, Stettler, Lethbridge, Oyen, Whitecourt, Fox Creek, Cold Lake, Grande Prairie and the surrounding areas.
